Cross PA

 

At Zion, the Acolyte carries the cross (Crucifer) in all Processions. 

He or she is also responsible for lighting and extinguishing the candles,ringing the church bell, and assisting the Priest during the Liturgy of the Table and during other Rites within the Liturgy.

Like learning to be a Lector, the basics of Acolyte ministry can be quickly learned

but take many years to master.  For more information,
